Crochet Market Bag

Just whipped up a quick little crocheted market bag  for my sweet potatoes to go in I have hooks on the wall in my pantry that I hang crocheted bags of onion in one, garlic in another, potatoes in another well you get the picture ..just gives me more space on my shelves or gets the produce off the floor

Do ever get really excited over crochet projects ?


I'm there so there I can see the end of the chevron blanket project it's all coming together setting a goal to be done by February yes being lenient so I can get even more excited if I finish before

And I found out today cause life has been so chaotic this last year I missed a release of my favorite book series by Joanne Fluke  "Blackberry Pie Murder" and she is coming out with another book in February and yes there is more one of her books is becoming a hallmark movie ohhh so much good news in one day  I can hardly contain myself I've been doing happy dances randomly it's funny how little things can get me so exuberant about the future

Crochet Chevron Progress

Working on the fill in 😁at the edge of my Chevron blanket ... I want a straight edge first ... Then I will have to get graph paper out and try to figure out the words I want to add at the ends of the chevron ... Of course third the border at least it's full size and keeping me warm😀

Crochet Oven Mitt

I wanted so bad to get this oven mitt finished yesterday for hump day hookerry 

I started here http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/oven-mitt-with-thumb-gussett

As you can see I even liked the colors ... The pattern is free so I hate to say anything bad about it ..not a well written pattern though I had to figure a lot out by the picture

Now if you notice or are wondering why my oven mitt has a heart and a thumb pad ...well it's from previous experience that one layer of crochet does not protect hands in the oven so I added an extra layer in high hopes that two crochet layers will protect my hand when pulling out a pizza in a 500 degree oven I will let you know how that goes 

I did make a kitchen towel holder too

There is always not enough space in any kitchen we've had no matter how big it was so crochet baskets have always helped me out in that area 

Kitchen towels are used all day long in our house for everything I don't use paper towels ... Well ok so I hide a roll and use it for things I just can't stand to put in my washer to wash do you want examples probably not but dog puke( poop pee) ya the 3 p's, chicken poop so you have examples

Crocheted, Went, Won

2014 Over!

Where did this year go! I don't know someone please tell me ? So I guess I need to start keeping track and  taking pics and posting all my completed projects .... Let's see what have I done this year...My favorite project was a crocheted plum pineapple pattern monokini....pictures of that will not be posted till I loose the 25 pounds I've gained this year.. which hasn't been on my mind of things to accomplish this next year I blame my husband's new hobby of home brewing to weight gain...so the bathing suit stays to Ox's eyes only ...I've completed at least 8 different hats, 2 costume props( oh ya 3 forgot elf slippers) um 1 baby blanket let me think goodness I know there is more oh 1 market bag, 2 veggie market bags, and 1 wine bag, 2 kitchen baskets, 2 bathroom rugs... 1 granny square cowl, 1 ear warmer, 1 granny stripe scarf, 1 houndstooth cowl ... I started a granny stripe crochet beach towel!?! was almost finished and tore it all back out restarting it to make a queen size blanket instead.... I'm trying to think ok before we moved my sister had a baby in February there was a baby blanket completed a hat for my brother and footless sandals for my mom and sister... Ok so I can't remember everything this year.. dun dun dun...New Year's Resolution.... will be ...you ready...wait for it... here I go ...posting everything I crochet even if it's just a picture


I will start this Wednesday trying to post some of last year's (sounds so wrong) projects this month
