Double Rainbow...Extraordinary

Weekend Photo
my daughter was climbing the walls with excitement the site of a double rainbow was a special moment for us

The Double Rainbow

Once I saw a rainbow
Over the ocean blue
Encompassed by a shadow
Of every color and hue.
It was a double rainbow
Most beautiful to see
and underneath the rainbow
Were two sails upon the sea.
I think it was God's message
Quite old, and get still new
It takes both rain and sunshine
To make the lovely view.
As we go along life's highway
A lot of rain must fall.
But we can find the rainbow
When the sun shines over all.
So, if you feel discouraged
And don't know what to do
Just trust for God's own sunshine
To bring a rainbow over you.

Crochet Circle Jacket

The yarn, I was using to make my cable blanket you know the one I ran out of and couldn't find anymore ..( but ya anyone who's been reading my blog knows what happened there not a great start to the blanket but a great finish just snuggled with it yesterday)..(but I turned the first yarn into the surprise and am in love with it... I tore all those completed squares out and turned it into a Circle Vest it could be a jacket but didn't put the sleeves on this one... thinking of making a jacket version in a lighter thinner yarn though ..excuse the pics I am going to have to learn how to take better pics of my completed projects..these I snapped early this morning still in my pj's (shhh  my favorite pjs they have faded but the colors and the cherries are **breath** ok they just make me happy)
was not joking about the pjs ..
this picture shows the true color

Flying by the Seat of My Pants...Type Gal

School is back in full swing at our house so that has put some type of schedule back into our days...kind of sad about that..not having anything on my plate for the whole summer was a first in a long time...I have been thinking about the blog the past few weeks ...and decided so what if I took the whole summer off ..just pick up where you left off...but my big guy got a hold of my camera while trying to animate videos so my battery is completely dead..the blog site is not letting me use the compose button at all...hope to see that fixed soon...project photos will have to wait..I will start fresh Monday and try to share some creations I've made over the summer ...and watch out I'm on an Asian and Indian food kick so there might be some wild recipes too!!!

POPCORN

Not just any popcorn, CARAMEL popcorn YUM!!!

I used a recipe from allrecipes again

CARAMEL POPCORN

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Cook Time: 1 Hour  Ready In: 1 Hour 15 Minutes
Servings: 28

"This easy caramel corn can be tossed with peanuts or mixed nuts, if desired."
Ingredients:
7 quarts plain popped popcorn
2 cups dry roasted peanuts (optional)
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup 1 teaspoon salt
1 cup margarine
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:
1. Place the popped popcorn into two shallow greased baking pans. You may use roasting pans, jelly roll pans, or disposable roasting pans. Add the peanuts to the popped corn if using. Set aside.
2. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Combine the brown sugar, corn syrup, margarine and salt in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring enough to blend. Once the mixture begins to boil, boil for 5 minutes while stirring constantly.
3. Remove from the heat, and stir in the baking soda and vanilla. The mixture will be light and foamy. Immediately pour over the popcorn in the pans, and stir to coat. Don't worry too much at this point about getting all of the corn coated.
4. Bake for 1 hour, removing the pans, and giving them each a good stir every 15 minutes. Line the counter top with waxed paper. Dump the corn out onto the waxed paper and separate the pieces. Allow to cool completely, then store in airtight containers or resealable bags.

Thursday Life Moments "Plant Mayhem"

This morning I woke up to well my Ox's snuggle uhhuumm....my mind going its to early I have to pee ... please if you have one ounce of love in you for me let me be...did you not hear that most obnoxious black car exiting its garage at 4 am with the most ear wrenching screech in all the world last night...apparently I thought this car was fixed ..I was running last week and for two days straight the whole car every part of the car was taken apart and laid out on the garage floor it was yes just my assumption that this beast of a car was being fixed and I would not have to here the perfect alarm clock for Satan himself at 4 am every morning anymore... well no the owner of this car is a feign of a mechanic ...the death screech at 4am waking me up out of a blissful sleep is verification of that... me wanting to grab a baseball bat at 4 am this morning to bust out the cars headlights has nothing to do with owner he might be the sweetest man ever but... if he is not mechanically inclined it really is not unmanly to take your dog gone car in to a certified mechanic and fix it REALLY !!!  .... So the beast,my dear Ox, and then my sweet dog.. My Ox is not telepathic so after he was happy I got up ..yelled down the hallway for my son to take out the dog .. started cleaning out the coffee pot went pee..walked back out of the bathroom, grabbed the dog well giving the evil eye to my son telling him "he isn't fooling me I know darn well you heard me and that your not sleeping!!!" ....came back in grabbed the coffee pot, then looked up,thought my blinds aren't open yet, left the pot opened my blinds and gasped totally slipped my mind that yes my kids called me last night and said your plants are everywhere did not even think about it till I saw this

It was definitely plant mayhem ..I assigned myself cleaning duty...when I came back inI got the what's for breakfast from the kids so all of this has happened before my first cup of coffee I looked at my adorable children and said you better grab some cereal because I'm not cooking anything till I've had my first POT OF COFFEE
